The HOME PAC Mission

HOME PAC is a public interest political action committee formed to support local candidates who are committed to reducing homelessness through compassionate, effective and supportive strategies and who support policies that increase the supply of permanent affordable housing for low and moderate income families and people with a range of disabilities and special needs.

The HOME PAC is a group of nonprofit leaders and advocates in the affordable housing community who established a new political action committee called HOME PAC to focus on the Portland City Council and Mayoral races in 2024.  Portland has reformed the governmental structure and will be electing 12 new members of the City Council along with a new Mayor.  It will be a new day for Portland in 2025!

The City of Portland needs to expand affordable housing development and aggressively manage the homelessness crisis.  The HOME PAC has done the difficult task of evaluating nearly 70 candidates running to serve in crucial Portland leadership positions.  This is a historic opportunity to educate City Council members and voters on the challenges and opportunities related to the development and management of housing for our most vulnerable neighbors.  Our primary goal is to elect leaders who are committed to ensuring safe affordable housing for all Portlanders.

Diane Linn is facilitating the process as the new HOME PAC Director.  If you have questions, please feel free to contact her directly at linndianem[at]gmail.com.
